Can I see examples of your work?
Examples of my work are readily available to see on my website (www.donnabeaver-theflowerstudio.com) and all my social media pages (@flowerstudio21 for Instagram and Twitter and Donna Beaver at The Flower Studio on Facebook). I try to keep all of these up to date and with new pictures on a regular basis. When having a consultation to discuss ideas I have a tablet with hundreds of pictures of my work on to view.
Have you worked at my wedding venue before?
I have worked at Glenfall House a few times now, its still relatively new as a wedding venue, so I am very much looking forward to this year as I have quite a few bookings.
I haven’t chosen my colour scheme, can you help?
When choosing a colour scheme it is so personal to you. Most Brides will have a favourite colour or will use the time of year to influence their colour scheme. Spring and Summer tend to lend themselves to quite a pastel palette – Blush Pink being a very popular choice. Although this year seems to see Lilac shades making a come back and also a few Lemon shades which I’m very much looking forward to. Autumn and Winter tend to be Reds, Burgundy and Metallic colours.
Which flowers will be in season when I marry?
Spring – Tulips, Hyacinth, Genista, Anemone, Sweet Pea, Muscari, Daffodil, Lilac, Ranunculas, Freesia
Summer – Hydrangea, Cornflower, Delphinium, Astrantia, Lavender, Nigella, Sweet Williams, Veronica, Stocks, Clematis
Autumn – Cotinus, Snowberry, Dahlia, Sedum, Berried Eucalyptus, Hypericum, Poppy Heads, Autumnal Hydrangea
Winter – Hellebores, Pussy Willow, Ilex, Senecio, Berried Ivy, Black Viburnum, Thistle All year round – Roses, Lisianthus, Spray Roses, Phlox, Statice
Which flowers will suit the style of our wedding?
A Classic Wedding will suit Roses, Hydrangea, Spray Roses, Lisianthus etc. Classic flowers that give a neat finish used in glass or mirrored containers to give a really crisp finish.
A Rustic Wedding will suit wild looking flowers like Delphinium, Lavender, Astilbe, Astrantia and lovely mixed foliage’s, used with Jugs, Milk Churns, Log Slices this will help to create that wild ‘just picked from the garden feel’.
Can I see a mock-up of my bridal bouquet?
A mock bridal bouquet can be created but this can be an expensive option. I would suggest finding a florist who you feel really confident with, their style of work should be quite evident in pictures, and put your trust in them. In all honesty you shouldn’t feel you need to have a mock bouquet made!
Do you provide other décor and accessories?
I provide a few optional extras like lanterns, postboxes, votives, mirror plates. I have a wide range of vases and candelabras to hire aswell.
How will I get any rented equipment back to you?
Set out in my quote will be a delivery, set up and collection charge. It can be removed if you wish to return items yourselves but most Brides find it quite helpful to have that service offered.
Can I change my mind?
Absolutely. After an initial consultation a quote will be sent. Nothing is set in stone and can be altered at any point. At 6 weeks prior to the wedding a final consultation is had and this is when the order is ‘set in stone’ so to speak.
When will I need to pay the final balance?
Final balance is required 2 weeks before the big day!
Do you charge for breakages?
Yes, but this doesn’t happen on a regular basis.
